I suppose this would be the right thread to post this on.....

Wouldn't have been nice, just for once, and given that Chris played The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore as a tribute to John Walker............that he didn't talk all over the bloody end of it!!!

It would be even better if CE (and the BBC in general) bothered to play a track from The Walker Brothers on which John was actually singing lead vocals.

He wouldn't know, neither would his presenter, but John was also a good guitarist.

Rachel

Here we go again on whether we like him or not. I thought it was only the R2 boards where you were got at if you didn't. Kengeo's response summed it up without going into whys and wherefores.

If you don't like the guy's voice there's not a lot to add to the fact.............. Given that fact why on earth would I listen to him? I'm just praying that someone will invent a programmable voice sensor that mutes him.

Well I did only post it last night and this board wasn't that busy last night anyway. I wasn't really expecting any replies, just voicing an opinion on an existing thread about Chris Evans in the Gripes Section rather than starting "yet another" CE bashing thread.

By stark comparison, Ken played No Regrets today - although it was Scott's vocals on that one - all the way through without uttering a word. But I wouldn't expect anything less from a true professional.

I looked forward to hearing this programme this morning, but unfortunately it was totally ruined by the presenter rudely butting in on the conversations and disrespectfully talking over each record.
Please get rid of him!

I thought it was quite decent this morning. I'm not a huge fan of Queen but their conversation was interesting. It just went on too long.

He's at it again.

Seems he doesn't want to play by the rules.

Ah yes, a self obsessed idiot addressing a whole bunch of psycophantic idiots

That just about sums up the Hay Festival for me

It's not surprising many of the locals go on holiday at this time of year Mad

I read that he was talking about Billie Piper being the love of his life at the Hay Festival. I felt sorry for his present wife................... Talk about being arrogant. Rolling Eyes

He ruined the Murray Walker programme for me last night, why the need for him to give his six penny worth? No other non-Formula 1 person was asked for their opinion. Oh I forgot, he's a world renowned expert on Ferrari's!

No doubt he will also be commentating on The Open this year on R5L.

How long before he makes an appearance on Question Time?
