It's a pleasure to welcome mcl to this forum.
mcl is one of the early founders of R2ok! when we had just the Yahoo group and a few website pages, back in 2005. And it was mcl who came up with some of the ideas and basic data for our own History of Radio 2 project which became the R2_Timeline
Welcome mcl, hope we can call you Simon here _________________ -

Blimey - thanks for the welcome, John....most unexpected, as I'm amazed anyone ever remembers me!
Anyway, nice to see a few familiar names here, and some from the old R2MB (which I read but never posted on) - looking forward to contributing. And you can call me what you like (as long as it's not rude!) |

Hi Simon,
I guess you know about the impending closure of CMoR3 forum, and the mess of forums to replace it?
Tried the new independent R3boards? They have nearly 100 folk there already, it's like a sister to this place, though I think I'm the only person who is member of both

Cheers,

No I didn't, actually - I'll have a look at the new R3OK boards though.
The pruning of the schedule at R3 is a bit of a disappointment, especially the demise of Brian Kay's Light Programme - though a few of the more blinkered R3 listeners were dancing on its grave, more fool them. I can't believe there's less of an audience for BK's kind of music than there is for some of the stuff they put out, though. |
