Caught up on iplayer earlier this week and listened to the Huey Morgan weekend show.

Certainly an interesting mix of songs/tracks played-some unusual selections.

Think he is going to settle well into Radio 2.

I've just looked at the track list I couldn't agree more, I will have to find myself a couple of hours to listen to the show.

Wow a show that sounds like a stayer a breath of fresh air compared to the usual stuff

Well, after looking at the track list I was hooked - through the first half hour so far and its on a par with Mark Lamarr's show - different, but just as good. HM has been pretty good during his previous R2 stints, great to find someone who's passionate and knowledgeable about his "toones" - therefore it's no surprise to find him relegated to the midnight hour! Rolling Eyes

Definitely enjoying this, and have already made mental notes to acquire at least three of the tracks I've heard so far....

Stay classy-Huey's strap-line.

His weekend show is sounding good to me-playing lots of songs/records from artists who I am not familiar with.

Certainly worth tuning into etc.

Loving Huey's shows-well worth tuning into.

I have to say have not heard a lot of the stuff he plays-some of it if very obscure. His musical knowledge is excellent-very passionate about his subject.

Stay classy.

Good post-I could not agree more-indeed I do hope too that Mark L makes a return at some point to Radio 2.

Despite all the negative posts/bashing Radio 2 I constantly read on this board, I do think it very worthwhile, highlighting the fact that there are still some real gems of programmes in the schedules, albeit tucked away in unsociable hrs-still that is what is what iplayer is for etc.

Stay classy as Huey would say.
