A well deserved honour for a great versatile entertainer
Whilst I'm not very keen on his current TV role over the last 50 years he has done just about everything ranging from appearing in films in the 1950's through the London Palladium era and on to The Generation Game and many other quiz shows
If anyone deserves this honour there can be no doubt that Brucie does _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I'm glad he has at last been honoured.

Sorry I have to disagree with everyone.
I have never liked him, perhaps I do not like catch phrases. He has had other gongs that should have been enough.
Ken Dodd is another that makes me cringe.............. _________________ I like hedgehog crisps |

I wouldn't call myself Sir Bruce's greatest fan but this honour seems long overdue.

I also will not admit to not being Brucie's biggest fan but he has been in the business 50+ years so I think he deserves it. |

Last year at Wimbledon:
Interviewer: "Come on Bruce, give us a few steps."
Bruce goes into a mini tap routine, stops, looks down and says:
"Oh, we're on grass! I thought I'd gone deaf!"
I remember Brucie from Sunday Night at the London Palladium and the early series of The Generation Game. Such a great ad-libber and a good way with contestants. I loved his wallpaper act with Norman Wisdom. He did an excellent radio programme about Sammy Davis Jnr. I enjoyed his Who Do You Think You Are? and he seems to be a nice family man with his wife keeping children from former wives all together and on friendly terms.
Etc etc.
I don't much like the dancing competition programmes though. |

I am not a Brucie fan, but I think he was more deserving than the man who with his sister has wrecked the lives of many, destroyed lots of people's careers and ruined companies who he just took, asset stripped and killed off.
I speak from experience......I will leave you to know who I mean. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Is it a certain person who runs a chain of Department stores - or am I being a bit Green? _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Sadly not a fan of BF one bit.
Still he has been "at it" for 50 years-guess he deserves some kind of recognition. |
