Perhaps he was doing his old quiz 'Give us a Break' Laughing

Good old DLT - a great guy and excellent broadcaster

Was that his 'snooker on the radio' one. He also had a radio darts quiz game, which Noel Edmunds stiched him up with in a 'Gotcha' on his House Party.

'Give us a Break' was the snooker quiz on which I once appeared and failed miserably scoring one point as a result of not being able to name any of the famous films involving James Dean but the really ironic thing about it is that I now have a son called James-Dean who was eighteen last Wednesday. The darts quiz I think was called 'Treble Top'

Both were great entertainment as was the 'Think Link' which I borrowed for my regular Saturday night pub quiz of which there is a version on here if anyone is interested

The nearest I got on the darts one was when a fairly local pub (if you can call 7 miles away local) was on it and won!! I called in there soon afterwards and saw the trophy which, as I remember, seemed somewhat insignificant!!

There's a feature on Channel 4 News in about 5 minutes on this story or you can watch in an hour's time on the 'plus one ' channel
