I agree Angel and I'm looking forward to my glass of virtual champagne Very Happy

So here goes with the next link and be warned people need to think a little bit laterally with one of the clues:

I'd Really Love to see you Tonight - England Dan and John Ford Coley
So Lonely - The Police
Ray of Light - Madonna

What's the link please?

Funnily enough, the cryptic crossword in the Guardian today had the theme of 'fish'. I must have had fish on the brain!

How about Diamonds are Forever by Shirley BASSey?

Sorry no, not correct but move forward a few years and you're in the right era then

Remember that the rules state the track must have been a single released in the last 50 years so the time starts around 1960 Smile

No sorry Angel, you need to be a bit later than that

I think the Chubby Checker track was before 1960 but I could be wrong

You need to be thinking 60's and to help you I'll tell you you are looking for a track by a female artist Smile

No, Ruddles, I'm afraid not. I'll give you another song, which may help or may confuse you even more.

I think I'd better give some more clues here. Ruddles, you were right to identify the hat, dog and boot. The hat is a type of top hat and the dog is a Scottie-type dog.

I will be away with no internet access for a few days (I'm going to do the Great London Swim - wish me luck!), so I hope someone will have got it by the time I get back. Smile

Sorry, Schiz, that's not right. It's not a geographic link, but if I were to mention certain London thoroughfares - Old Kent Road or Park Lane for example - that might help. Smile

So are we saying that the type of hat e.g. bowler and the type of dog e.g. Yorkshire Terrier or West Highland Terrier in some way link to the names of certain roads in London?

As I've said before unfortunately my knowledge of London is extremely limited to say the least but I suppose I could always consult a street map - it might be an all night job though Confused

No, Ruddles, you don't need to consult a London street map. I thought mention of 'Old Kent Road' and 'Park Lane' would instantly trigger recognition - perhaps childhood memories - but it seems not! Think board games.

Ah got it, Monopoly

That's a clever one Smile

I'll hazard a guess that the fourth track is one by Iron Maiden Laughing

This might be quite difficult so I'll give another clue - the name of the track is also the name of a film from a few years earlier. I'm going away again for a few days (this time to Aberdeen for my son's graduation - it's been a busy week!) so I hope someone will have got it by the time I get back, if not I'll give another clue. Smile

I'm not good on films but I seem to recall a film in the early 60's called 'Jailbreak' followed by the well known Thin Lizzy track in the 70's

Am I close?

No, sorry, Ruddles, not close at all. It was a film starring Jane Fonda and the song was the only hit for a band from Wales (although for any veterans of the London pub rock scene of the 70s they were well known there).

I'm stumped with this one Ruddles. The only vague idea I have is boxing - hold, bell and do boxers have a bit between their teeth or is that horses? Confused

No sorry Angel you're on the wrong track there

If you think about the place where you live now ( i.e. Yorkshire,a certain bit of it) that should help you - as I think this is difficult I'll come up with more clues if needed Smile

I doubt you'll have any problem at all in guessing the fourth track - it really is so obvious I'm not going to offer any clues at present Smile
