I've been struggling with this one and the only thing so far I can guess at is Charles Dickens characters

Well as probably my favourite band of all time is Uriah Heep I'm rather hoping it's one of their tracks( that is if he was in Oliver Twist)
If I'm right I can probably give you their entire discography Laughing

Or That's Livin' Alright - Joe Fagin
Re Rewind - The Artful Dodger
Born with a Smile on My Face - Stephanie de Sykes

Great guesses, Ruddles, but it's none of those. And, no, Uriah Heep wasn't in Oliver Twist!

Anyway I'll try the link I used last weekend so here goes

When You are a King - White Plains
High in the Sky - Amen Corner
Pretty Flamingo - Manfred Mann

Over to you for the link please Very Happy

No sorry Angel not really near the mark

I'll give you a kind of cryptic clue which might help you

All of the posted musical clues to the link are superb tracks with great lyrics, strong choruses and excellent chord progressions but only one of them has a bridge Smile

Well done Angel - you got it

Just out of interest I was about to give you a clue by telling you what happened when I did this link live last weekend

For the fourth track many of the audience came up with Diamond Dogs by David Bowie and I told them that although on the face of it that track might seem to fit it did not because the Isle of Dogs is not actually an island and certainly not off the British coast but more like a district of London - I hope I was correct - I told them they were Barking up the wrong tree Laughing

Anyway it's over to you for the fourth track in the link - I'll give you a while to guess it before I give any more clues

Yes, you're right, Ruddles, The Isle of Dogs, is not an actual island. It's the bit of Docklands that bulges down in a U shape.

I'll guess Meet Me on the Corner by Lindisfarne.

Thanks Angel,I thought I was right but with my dodgy knowledge of London I'm glad you've confirmed it

No sorry your guess is incorrect - most people who did not mention Diamond Dogs guessed various different Lindisfarne tracks but it's not the right island Smile

Sorry Angel, I know that was the obvious one to go for but again unfortunately not the right island

The location you are looking for is very well known and once you find it I think there are only two tracks that link with it

If you need further clues I'll post some of the wrong answers from the live link which should limit what is left for you to guess Smile

Huey Lewis and the News - The Power of Love
Rolf Harris - Two Little Boys

Great answers Angel but not the right ones - as promised I'll give you a selection of wrong answers from the live quiz so you can narrow it down a bit

Keep On - Bruce CHANNEL
Here we go Round the MULLberry Bush - Traffic
Bleeding Love - Leona LEWIS
It's in his Kiss - Linda LEWIS
Stairway to Heaven - Rolf HARRIS
Macarthur Park - Richard HARRIS
B EG Steal or Borrow - New Seekers
RUMours - Fleewood Mac
SACrifice - Elton John

None of the correct though
Think of former Prime Minister Harold Wilson and where he used to go on holiday Smile

Schiz actually got the correct answer Silly Games by Janet Kay so very well done and enjoy your champagne Very Happy

Strictly speaking you should set the next link Schiz but if you don't want to for any reason then I'll leave it to Angel as she guessed the link correctly but let us know the position so we know what's going on

As Angel did the spadework I'll let her set one but I will think up something over the weekend if she doesn't want to.

Thanks for that Angel - it's quite funny because numerous people have told me that I missed my vocation and should have become a Vicar Laughing

Anyway here's the next link

Fox on the Run - Manfred Mann
Don't Sleep in the Subway - Petula Clark
Maggie May - Rod Stewart

What's the link please - I don't think this one should be too difficult Smile

Well done Angel - we're all in turbo mode tonight - it's funny how some links last for days or even weeks and others less than an hour

I don't think you'll have too much trouble in finding the fourth track Smile

I'll give you a couple of wrong answers from the live link to help you

Bark at the Moon - Ossy Osborne
Criticise - Alexander O'Neill

If you still can't get it I'll give you a musical clue

I think I made this link a bit too easy but the next one is a real stinker Shocked

No sorry Angel - I'm looking for a track that links with the surname of a current Cabinet Minister

The link is in the name of the artist who is American and also well known as a songwriter but he did have two big hits in the early 70's one of which extolled the benefits of living in a certain State in America Very Happy
