I refuse to invest in the flawed technology. That said, it looks like you have better mobile DAB than I had with any kind of 3G on my iPhone the weekend before last when I was in Lowestoft!
I've never been in an O2 "not spot" before and it's not nice! |

I can't get a signal on my 02 phone in most of the Yorkshire Dales. |

same here, new car in Sept will have dab, let's see how the dab works . It can also play mp3 from SD cards so that may come in useful |

I have to be honest and say there does seem to be area's without reception.Between lowestoft and Ipswich which is a good 40 miles i get nothing.Norfolk just seems like a complete no no,so there does seem to be a lot of work still to be done _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |

I was reading about the new Ford models coming out soon, with as standard NO CD PLAYER, but an internet 'Cloud' facility for music, as well as DAB radio. Haven't googled what the Cloud thing is.
I've got some good old cassettes I wish I could play in the car. Suppose while I still have a car that does CDs I could digitise the cassettes. _________________ -

just been reading about that. looks like im getting one of the last cd players in my focus then (phew!) a good 60% of my music is still on vinyl with absolutely nothing on a 'modern' post cd product lol! maybe in 3 years time i will have embraced the modern world a bit more and wont miss a cd player! _________________ "Timpani!, Timpani!, They've all got it Timpani!"- All drummers know the pain of skin trouble. |

I have been to London today and as you would expect the reception was excellent. There is more choice as well but to be honest a lot of it was not to my taste although i did pick up arrow which plays some great stuff _________________ I found out how you can hurt an insect. It's the bees knees |

It's easy enough to transfer the cassettes! When you use software such as audacity it allows to choose to save as an MP3 file which can be transferred to your MP3 player directly.. |

Oh yes shaky, I CAN do all that, in fact I have Audacity but also a very good Algorithmix program designed to work with cassette hiss and LP/78 etc. which I use for my podcasts of 78s. The results with Algorithmix are very good with cassettes, and much easier as there's no residual clicks to find and clip from the audio. _________________ -

well i got my hands on the new car and thankfully it is not solely a dab radio, which is just as well as the coverage where the dealer is, is non existant! i was worried it was going to be cd's, memory stick or nothing!
just have to wait for dab to catch up i guess! _________________ "Timpani!, Timpani!, They've all got it Timpani!"- All drummers know the pain of skin trouble. |

It won't. The technology is flawed. |
