I love the original film, the characters are terrific and I still find them a bit scary! Have watched it many times and never tire of it. I see no reason for the re-make, there are some films which should never be re-done, this is one of them. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Yes Angela, me too. There are so many wonderful comic moments. Mrs Wilberforce tapping the water pipe in her kitchen with a wooden mallet, waiting a few seconds then putting her kettle under the tap at just the right moment; Mrs W treading on Professor Marcus's trailing scarf; the gang being told off severely by Mrs W and then being forced into socialising with her elderly lady friends with the Professor hunched over the piano, etc etc.
All small touches adding up to a comic masterpiece. |
