Texting using your mobile phone whilst driving is on the increase according to road safety charity brake and insurance firm Direct line. Brake say 8per cent do this stupid act at least once a week.

I saw a Army truck driver texting on his mobile phone and weaving across the road. People are Idiots.

They shouldn't be using a mobile phone whilst driving for texting or any other purpose unless it's a hands free system

However with the current cuts to police numbers I expect these idiots are even more likely to get away with it Rolling Eyes

The law is there, but true the resources the police have they can't be in two places at once. It's lucky those who continue to do this stupid act havn't been caught, but one day there may well be a blue siren up your arse for those.

With these ridiculous government cuts to essential services the police can't even be in one place at once let alone two.

I see from the newspapers today that police been using an unmarked HGV to "spy" on drivers on the M3 and M27.
Apparently there was one driver who was using his laptop, drinking coffee and writing down the answers to a radio quiz, all at the same time. What a (dangerous) idiot.

John, I noticed that last week Colin confirmed pretty much what you're saying but his post seems to have disappeared

I'm just wondering whether there was any significance as I haven't seen many other posts from him recently Confused
