For many people it must seem like it's falling apart. No jobs, crime, crap hospital, crap school/teachers, potholes, awful neighbours. Most people suffer from at least 2 of those things.

For a lot of people though, if they have steady income from wherever, in certain parts of the country, many village folk, they are oblivious to the problems that affect most people.

The country has really been falling apart for well over 20 years or more

Almost all of our current problems can be traced back to a lack of proper attention to decent education and moral standards which began a long time ago

I don't think many of the current crop of politicians have the slightest clue about how to solve the problems and as far as I am concerned until such time as we leave the EU and take back control of our own country very little is likely to change and probably things may get worse

I feel very sorry for most of the young people in Britain today who can't afford to buy a house or even drive a car - what do they have to look forward to in life - not a lot I would suggest Sad

I tend to agree with you there ruddles.I went to school in the mid-eighties in the 4th/5th year we had double woodwork on a wed afternoon and i went just the once in those two years not once was i pulled up.We had an aisan maths teacher who we all knew was very clever but he couldnt control us.My parents were asy-going but knew how to put me in my place if i was cheeky. There has always been "problem families" and there always will but standards are dropping and as you say the governments of the last twenty years or so have not had a clue.

It seems to me that politicians who have never done a proper job in the real world are out of touch with reality. No one should be allowed to be a 'career politician', they should work somewhere for (at least) a few years first.
