This documentary on right now is all very well, but isn't it a bit pointless playing the songs they danced to at length? We can't see the dances! Not even a description of what they did.

I can't see the point of doing a documentary about Pans People on radio

Five beatiful women with superb dance routines for that time

Although I love radio it occasionally does have its limitations and this is a prime example where vision media would win every time Smile

It's an odd one - shame it's so uncritical. They all seem very deluded.

Apparently Legs & Co came to an end because the studio audience wanted to do the dancing themselves. But surely it's because of the dawn of the video age? Listening to this, you'd think Pan's People, Ruby Flipper and Legs & Co all ended because they were too controversial for TV!

I wish I'd heard this programme.. I liked Pan's People - more than any of the subsequent variations.
Dee Dee was my favourite as a young lad Wink
I have a VHS recording featuring Pan's people somplace which I watched several times over Laughing no, not for that reason.. I just liked to see them dance to music.. some were terrible routines but most were good imo.
I was really sad to hear of the death of Flick Colby. I found her fascinating and quite a looker in the early days of the act.
In the TV programme, a couple of the girls said they had no idea of the sexual appeal they may have had with the lads and dads... yeah, right!

I know there is some early (ish) footage of Pan's People in one or two of these clips: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=TOP+OF+THE+POPS+%2829.04.1971%29+&oq=TOP+OF+THE+POPS+%2829.04.1971%29+&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=164276l164276l0l166268l1l1l0l0l0l0l181l181l0.1l1l0
