If ever a show was in dire need of a 'warm-up' man it must be this one. It's the same every year, po-faced audience all looking sick to the gills as if seething that it wasn't them! Gary Lineker looking a lot older these days, and Rory McIlroy, was he wearing those geek spectacles for a bet? _________________ Minx

I agree the show is in need of some kind of urgent makeover and I thought it was disappointing that no female sportspersons made the final ten but then I realised that the choice was by journalists so that just about says it all
And why on earth did the BBC think it a good idea to move the show from its regular Sunday evening slot to Thursday?
It certainly can't be anything to do with audience figures considering they timed it to clash with one of the biggest seasonal football matches namely Spurs v Chelsea being shown on Sky not to mention the World Darts Championship and the usual soap operas
It seems completely non sensical to me _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Yes, I couldn't quite get away with Rory McIlroy's specs. No idea why they shifted it to Thursday but think that many moons ago it was on a Wednesday. Quite enjoyed dipping into the show as a whole but agree that it needs a makeover.

I think it used to take place on Wednesday evenings going back to the days of 'Sportsnight With Coleman'( later just 'Sportsnight') and became effectively an offspin of that show but in those days it wasn't having to compete with five Sky Sports channels which is presumably why in recent years it has always taken place on Sunday
No reason at all why it could not have been held last Sunday as far as I can see _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

And of all the people to choose from to say a few words about our cricketing achievements why someone at the Beeb thought Piers Morgan would be a good choice is totally beyond me... |

Hi littlepieces....would have been much better if he hadn't been there..... I think you're being very kind in your appraisal of him...how he has got where he is today is a complete and utter mystery to me |
