Am I not right in thinking he used to present a late night show on Radio 2 many years ago?

I seem to recall him as a good presenter and a very decent kind of chap although I never watched Blockbusters

He had a good innings but nevertheless it's sad to know he's no longer with us Sad

He also played James Bond, believe it or not.

It was a South African radio production of "Moonraker" back in the fifties.

Sad loss. I used to like Blockbusters and Call My Bluff

I liked Blockbusters and the kids who used to say "I'll have a P please Bob!" As someone said tonight, Bob Holness was like everyone's favourite grandfather and I would agree with that.

I assume you're thinking of Late Night Extra, Ruddlescat? Bob was a regular host from 67-74. Then at LBC for 10 years and back to the Beeb in 85 until about 1992.
