On Radio 4 Extra
I'm a fan of Michael Crawford so didn't need much persuasion to listen to this and up to now it's been a delight listening to him reading extracts from his autobiography

I have been listening to R4 extra a lot lately and really enjoy it.I am discovering Tony Hancock though must admit can't see what all the fuss about the goon show is

I suppose it's like all comedy,littlepieces.... not everybody's cup of tea. |

Very true and a case in point i used to like up the elephant and round the castle with Jim davidson.....for which i find deeply disturbing

Glad you have discovered Tony Hancock, littlepieces, I heard his shows first time around in the 1950s and always loved him. In fact, in my loft, I still have the scrapbook devoted to him  .
Re the Goons, always loved them too  |

I was born in 71 so catching up a bit later.I do wonder how many of today's stuff will be repeated 50 years from now?
