And im off school I look out of my window and see kids standing in a group singing bit strange i thought.Two months later i see my block of flats on TOTP.The video was another brick in the wall By Pink Floyd i lived right next to their recording studio on Britania Row Islington.My dad still lives there and when i go to see him i get a shiver walking past even though they sold it years ago.

Floyd's influence on my life has been total for the past 10 years but there i was seeing part of their history all those years ago

Regrettably Pink Floyd just don't do anything for me but I do understand what you're saying

When I used to work in South Wales in the late eighties I remember being there when the Manics recorded a live video at a certain pub in Blackwood
with about 10 people and a dog in the audience before they signed to Sony

When I attended their R2 In Concert gig almost exactly a year ago I went back to the very same pub and it just gave me the kind of feeling I can't really describe in words

I think there are certain things in life which point people in a particular direction but of course it's different for everyone but whenever it happens it's generally very good Very Happy

I have gone mad on the manics great band and motorcycle emptiness is up there as one of my top songs
