|
|
Zoe Ball announced that it's her last Saturday show for Radio 2. She's not quitting Radio 2 and will continue to dep for Ken Bruce. The reason is she needs to look after the kids whilst the hubby's on tour loads this years, and he looked after them when she was doing 'Strictly It Takes Too. |

Is this a sudden announcement? Are the presenters for future shows already appointed/planned?
I have to admit to NEVER having switched on R2 on a Saturday since she started that show, except occasional late SOTS which I do have on now, just finished.
And now I'll flick it to R3 before Norton comes on.... _________________ -

Ms Ball was so excited that there would be a big announcement in the week about her replacement. After DL-J on SHH heaven knows who they have in mind ( pardon the pun). Sara Cox perhaps ? She is getting a little old for R1. |

I only heard the last ½ hr or so of her show this morning so don't know how sudden a decision it is. She said that Lynn Parsons is doing the show for the next two weeks. She also said that she will still be covering Ken Bruce's show when he's off. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Lynn would be an excellent replacement if she could fit it in with her other commitments but as she starts her show on Smooth at 10am on Saturdays
it might prove a bit too much on a permanent basis
Unless of course she could persuade the Smooth management to give her a slot later in the day which I think is rather doubtful
Does the dreaded Ms Feltz still do her Radio London show as well as the early breakfast thing? - I have no idea as I never listen _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

This is indeed great news! now I can switch my radio on for the few minutes before SOTS without grinding my teeth at her babbling yap!
Excellent... now if only they could drop her from Strictly Takes Two.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Just looking on her hubbys website and does seem he's out of the country a lot, so maybe it was babysitting, because bless Zoe she did have a lot of Saturday off last year with one thing or another. Seems to me she was more than a freelance for the show, than hers? I also thought here we go SOT60's is going to be moved too. It just seemed to me a sudden move on either Radio 2 or Zoe part, but still around to dep for Ken. Not a lot of Radio work now and Norman work is more important than Radio 2. Usually these people have babysitters, not in this case. |

Maybe she is just putting her family first Mark. Her youngest is just a year old.

I suspect it has got more to do with her getting her face back on tv.
Why would she want to keep doing an early morning radio show? She only took the job because it's a step up from eating cockroaches in the jungle.
Compared to tv work, it can't pay that much, so who can blame her?
She has no affinity with the music, so bye bye.
Perhaps she might get known for being something other than Johnny's daughter, now, eh? _________________ BBC 6 Music. Like Radio 2, but on a good day! |

As I say the Ken Bruce dep slot seems like a Tarrant dep for Steve Wright, saving costs at the BBC . |

I heard her with Patrick Keitly who was covering for Alan Carr the other week. Maybe she do a Challenge Anneka style Radio show Then host the show in a jump suit like she wore on Treasure Hunt |

And is there a helepad on the roof of Radio 2 'towers' to land the helecopter she'll be jumping out of? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |
