A few years ago, these were all the rage. There were lots of petitions over all sorts of matters. They seem to have 'died a death nowadays. I found this address in an old thread and, after clicking on it, no error messages appeared. Does anyone know if you can still petition No 10 directly over any issue? http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/

Personally, I think direct action is the preferable route these days. It's certainly a better way to obtain media coverage and going by the utterly appalling leadership we're getting at the moment I think we're in for a lot more. I certainly hope so.

This seems to be the current incarnation of the No 10 petition. I was sent this one today. Anyone of our number who enjoys visiting a pub ought to sign it. I know I enjoy a pint or two in pubs around my locale, and have duly put my name to it. Here's the link for anyone who does wish to sign it: https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/29664
