I think her music will be good if she's allowed to choose some of it herself.
Around the time she sat in for J Ross on Saturdays she did a woman's magazine interview which revealed she had chosen the music herself. She said she had tried not to be 'too girly' for a Saturday morning as there were obviously a lot of blokes listening in! I've got the show recorded somewhere as it was IMHO a good selection.

I said it live on air in the studio with Jeremy Vine on 10/3/2005 |

I don't know what kind of show it will be? Obviously not a specialist show. It seems a little mirrored with Anneka Rice at the start of the day, then 12 hours later Liza to end the day off. Although there are shows after 8pm. |

Very true, Mark but who stays up after 8pm these days?
Liza's show will be perfect- well, ok then , close to perfect, as near as makes no difference anyway. You could easily round it up to perfect. |

She was lucky not to get 6am slot. Obviously it's surprising the announcement was quick. Makes me wonder Alan contract was renewed, but they can't say he was sacked as he could sue Radio 2. The show was run by an Independent production company. |
