Very sad - a very underrated musician who never really achieved the fame of many of his contemporaries in terms of chart success
However apparently despite having only had some very minor hit singles his 'Greatest Hits' collection displaced Led Zeppelin from the number one spot in the album chart in the early 70's and lots of 60's bands attributed their ability to play guitar to having bought a copy of his instruction manuals
Pity he didn't quite reach his 92nd birthday
