Sorry, Ruddles, I've been busy and away a lot recently and not given this much thought. I must admit I'm still baffled though Confused but I'm not throwing in the towel just yet.

Ruddles, I'm afraid I'm going to have to declare myself beaten by this one, much as I hate to do so. I've been staring at a map and am totally devoid of inspiration. Sad

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd defeat you all especially with so many clues and not even so much as a single guess Very Happy

As I'm feeling in a good mood one final clue which is not strictly speaking related to the link but I'm sure will give you the answer straight away

Monster Mash - Bobby Boris Pickett and the Cryptkickers

You need to be thinking North of the Border - I'm almost tempted to post a quick link to that superb track 'Donald, Where's Ye Trousers' Laughing

Oh and by the way I was inspired to come up with the Lady Gaga track as I happened to be eating some excellent Scottish Kippers at the time - think where they might have come from - and I don't mean Tesco Laughing - famous for kippers and seafood generally Smile

I can only think of Lochs: Maree, Ness. I've been studying a map of Scotland but am still none the wiser!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Well done Schiz - at last after more than two months Shocked

The link is Scottish Lochs

In order for us to avoid being here on this one for another two months I'm going to tell you that the fourth track you are looking for is a seasonal track which links to a very well known loch and the link is is the artists name

Over to you Smile

I'm still struggling with this one, Ruddles. I'll guess:

The Little Drummer Boy - VaNESSa Williams
Red Hot - VaNESSa Mae

Smile

Oh Angel - you've hit on the correct Loch but sadly not the correct track

The track I am looking for was released within the last ten years and the artists name provides a very fitting description of the Loch on a dismal winter's day Smile

Yes Angel - well done - probably the longest lasting link we've had on here which I must admit quite surprised me Shocked

Anyway, looking on the bright side you've had plenty of time to come up with the next link Laughing

SOFTLY Whispering I love You - Congregation
JULIET - Four Pennies
HEARTBEAT - Scouting For Girls/ Nick Berry/Buddy Holly
My Best Friend's Girl - the CARS
SUMMER Nights - John Travolta and Olivia Newton John
Romeo and JULIET - Dire Straights

Great stuff although I feel a bit guilty as Graham hit on the right series and really I just fell lucky with the actual track Embarassed

Anyway here's a tricky little link

Tell Him - Alma Cogan
Love Changes Everything - Climie Fisher
Let Me Entertain You - Robbie Williams

I think this is really quite hard - I won't give you any clues at this stage but if you would like them do let me know Smile

Yes that's fair enough Angel because this link is not easy

You need to be thinking about British history but nothing too complicated - you don't need to know when the Chartist Movement was founded or when the Rainhill Trials took place - just fairly simple history like lists of Kings and Queens and only going back to around the time of World War Two

Of course the answer isn't names of Kings and Queens but it is something along those lines and whilst the current clues go back only around 70 years the link has existed a great deal longer than that Smile

Extra bonus clue

Temple of Love - Sisters of Mercy

Yes - well done Angel -I gave you exactly the same clue as I did on the live link on this one but still nobody got it Laughing

The artist is fairly obvious for the fourth track so it's just a question of hitting on the right track Smile

Right Artist Angel but wrong tracks

I just couldn't bring myself to use the 'Without You' option quite simply because the performer absolutely murdered what was a classic track - and I 'm talking about the original by Badfinger rather than the Neilson hit version which was bearable Smile

I didn't know there was an original by Badfinger - must have been before my time Very Happy

Always Be My Baby

Oh Angel - you should listen to the Badfinger original - absolutely superb Very Happy - a very unlucky track though

Within a month of writing it Peter Ham formerly guitarist with Badfinger was found hanged in his own garage and within a few months of recording it Harry Neillson was diagnosed with cancer - if I was Mariah Carey I'd be having regular medical checks Laughing

Sadly you still haven't got the right track

This was the first single to be released from the album 'Music Box' in 1993

No, Ruddles, nothing to do with insects.

These two tracks have a close connection with what I'm looking for, but don't contain the actual answer:

Boris the Spider - The Who
I'll Never Fall in Love Again - Bobbie Gentry

Hope this helps Smile
