On BBC 4 tonight at 10..

A bevy of household names from the worlds of stand-up comedy, music and culture - including Bill Bailey and Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner - all pay homage to the poet John Cooper Clarke.

They describe him as a dynamic force who remains as relevant today as he ever was, as subsequent generations cite him as a significant influence on their lives, careers and styles.
