Steve's show has been bland for quite a bit.He is an outstanding presenter but i feel R2 should go a little leftfield....Huey Morgon he knows his stuff snd has avoice for radio what do you guys think?

Personally I don't particularly like Huey Morgan's style and have no wish to see him as a regular presenter on Radio 2 although he's quite knowledgeable and probably fits in fine where he is now Smile

I agree with Ruddles... Huey seems to do fine where he is, but I don't particularly enjoy listening to him.

But I can't think who could take over from Steve Wright - my top choice was always Mark Radcliffe but he's nicely settled in at 6Music. And Steve's regular stand-ins, Chris Tarrant and Patrick Kielty just do my head in too.

With Radio 2 going steadily (or, perhaps, rapidly?) downhill, I think Huey's probably better off where he is. 6 Music is sounding much better than R2 these days so he's best advised to stay put!

Steve is part of the furniture- a pre-aged big comfy leather sofa. He can't be replaced. Anyway he won the imaginary clock this week- he's Top Dog.

He is indeed part of the furniture - and it's looking increasingly threadbare!

I don't listen to Steve that often and then only in small doses but for some reason I'm always glad he's back as I don't much care for the standins they've had of late. Not sure what that says but I don't think Huey Morgan is right for 5 days a week on R2, weekends maybe.

In my "window" of Radio 2 listening ( which isn't very big of late ), Steve is - without a shadow of a doubting Thomas, the most enjoyable presenter by far.. except for Tony Blackburn of course Razz
I completely agree with Helen, usually I can't wait for his stand-ins to finish their stint and "comfortable old shoes" Wrighty returns with all his old frolics... he's great! Cool
mind you, I still don't know what kind of music he likes... Confused
