Thousands of Natwest customers have not received payments into their bank accounts due to technical problems. Just wonder if everyone will receive the correct payments once the problem is sorted out?

Sorry to nit pick but I think in actual fact they did receive payment into their accounts but the problem was that the payments weren't showing up on Nat West's system so people could not access their money
I left Nat West about 12 years ago and can't really say I regret it although to me all banks are a necessary evil _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

The bank IT department seemed to have sorted out the technical issue with banks opening on a Sunday. Customers are still having problems and not able to access money which is in their accounts. I wonder what compensation the bank will give the customer? |

I think compensation will be paid only if customers can show actual financial loss such as being charged by third parties as a result of standing orders etc not being paid
Of course there is also the issue of whether their credit records might be affected but I doubt this would happen given the fact that the problems with RBS are well known _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

How do you compensate someone who didn't pay the money for their new house on time..... and a whole chain of house buyers were interrupted.....
RBS have now stated a software update was to blame for their problems. Hmmm so who is the guilty party ...... _________________ -

It was a total network-wide system update that went horribly wrong. A network system admin's worst nightmare! |
