David Beckham has been left out of the team GB for the Olympics. He must be unfit.

Who? David Cameron or David Beckham? Make your mind up.

And no, I won't be enhancing the Daily Rag's SEO.

I'm pleased he hasn't been picked. It's all we would have heard about during the Olympics. Rolling Eyes

Leave the Olympics for the athletes Very Happy

I'd have thought Cameron would have more important things to do instead of applying to kick a ball around..

Why are professional footballers in an Olympic team?

Football is an Olympic sport and Great Britain is represented by "Team GB".

Are they Olympians? David Beckham could light the flame in the stadium. Is he classed as an Olympian?

Beckham NOT an olypian so shouldn't be considered for lighting the flame in the stadium- should be Sir Steve Redgrave, the nations greatest olypian.

It's time it wasn't in the Olympics, and they could back to playing their overpaid, overhyped sport, or just use amateurs for the Olympics Very Happy .

I don't want to hear another footballer being quoted as to how DB should have been in the team Rolling Eyes

Well, today it was confirmed why Beckham came to France to play football, it's not that he had a great urge to play football in France and be paid for it, no, there he was with Zidane standing in front of a huge board with the name Adidas on it. He even said Zidane was a gentleman, but didn't mention when Z headbutted someone on the field in front of a world-wide audience.

So he came to France to get millions from Adidas. Oh and his Paris salary will go to charity - I expect that will mean he can therefore pay less tax on his Adidas salary.

That begs the question as to whether he's actually set up the charity yet Rolling Eyes

One of the biggest ever cons was in the Blair era when lots of so called 'charities' were given Legal Aid contracts supposedly operatimg on a 'non profit'basis at the expense of people like me who had social consciences and had served poor communities for many years despite the fact that I could have earned probably three times as much doing private client work

And guess what - all these so called charities would wait until the end of the financial year and then retrospectively totally wipe out their profits by paying their staff salaries exactly equal to the huge profits they were making - what a bunch of bastards but of course the biggest bastard of all is now earning millions from public speaking appointments not to mention moonlighting as a UN peace envoy:evil:
