Well I was thinking Chess because you would also see a Rook on a chessboard but I can't see how the other clues fit
Ah but wait a minute Night - it's got to be chess _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Well done, Ruddles, it was chess pieces that I was looking for.
Any ideas for a fourth track? I won't give any clues yet.

I'm annoyed with myself Angel - I should have got that long before now - especially as I used to play County Chess for Leicestershire
Anyway here goes for the fourth track
Fooled Around and Fell in Love - Elvin BISHOP
Love and Pride - KING
KING in a Catholic Style - China Crisis
KING of Wishful Thinking - Prefab Sprout
CASTLES in the Air - Don Maclean
Speed KING - Deep Purple
KINGs of the Wild Frontier - Adam and the Ants
When You Are a KING - White Plains
Your Love is KING - Sade
I'm sure I recall a track called PAWN Star but I can't recall who did it _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

No, sorry, Ruddles, it's none of those. The track I'm looking for was originally released in 1961 and re-released in 1987.
I also had a vague idea that there had been a track called PAWN Star but couldn't remember anything about it. |

Stand By Me - Ben E King?
I think De La Soul might have been the artists who did 'Pawn Star' but I could be wrong _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Great stuff - I still don't know why I didn't get that one sooner - my brain must be ageing rapidly
Anyway I've set some tough links recently so I think this one might prove a little easier - famous last words
Father Figure - George Michael
Fade to Grey - Visage
Me and Julio Down By the Schoolyard - Paul Simon
Best of luck _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Ok no guesses I see so perhaps this one is not so easy as I thought
As someone once said 'They're only easy if you know the answers'
Anyway a couple of further clue tracks which might help you
Telegram Sam - T Rex

Any chance of a clue as to what direction to be looking? |

Well Angel it might help if you think about the Sound Of Music - and yes if you're wondering I am talking about the famous 60s film but I am also using the phrase in a more general sense as well _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Yes you got it - musical scales
And so far as the fourth track is concerned I'll start you off by mentioning that it isn't the obvious one 'Mouldy Old Dough' _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I'm sorry Ruddles, that was incredibly difficult, though the final clue made it a bit easier. |

I really didn't think that was by any means one of the most difficult I've done Schiz buy you should be able to have a good go at guessing the fourth track as there are only two notes left
As I said though - they're only easy if you know the answers as a certain stand in presenter on Radio 2 would say _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Ruddles - I haven't had time to think about this yet and I'm going away for a few days tomorrow so will have a go at it next week unless someone else guesses it in the meantime. |

Hi Ruddles, I'm back from my trip to Bonny Scotland and ready to have some guesses:
Rock-a-HuLA Baby - Elvis Presley
The LAst Time - Rolling Stones
This is My Song - PetuLA Clark
Ob LA Di Ob LA Da - Marmalade
Make ME Smile (Come Up and See ME) - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel
Release ME - Engelbert Humperdinck
From ME to You - The Beatles
You Don't Have to Say You Love ME - Dusty Springfield
There seems to be quite a few - this could take a long time |

Great guesses Angel but you've not hit on the right one yet
To make it a bit easier I can tell you that the note contained in the title of the fourth track is not ME as we've already had that in one of the original three clue tracks and I've told you that it's not DO
By my calculation that only leaved FA and LA so you need to concentrate on those two notes
Don't forget it could be a track with a foreign language title or even one that's total gobbledegook _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Sadly not the right answer Schiz but you're on the right track
The track I am looking for is a hit from the mid sixties and I know from your previous posts the group concerned is one of your favourites from that era _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

As Angel did all the hard work, perhaps she should claim the prize and choose the next one! |

SFF: was that the appalling Jonathan King? I think it was.
He used to post on the old Radio 2 message boards under JK2001 or something, always protesting his 'innocence'. |

Yes, you're right it was Jonathon King.. and I'm wrong on two points!
firstly it was Loop di Love, not La... and the version I was thinking of was by the French chap J Bastos!!
his version was much better... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I'm really struggling with this link - I suspect it's probably something I don't know anything about like Dr Who

Ruddles, it's not anything like Doctor Who. There is an historical link.
This extra track should make it a lot easier:
The Man with the Child in his Eyes – Kate Bush

So I think we must be talking about the President being Adams - am I right?
In which case am I looking for a different track by Bryan Adams or one by a different artist of that name _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
