Just seven in ten trains actually run on time, new punctuality figures from Network Rail have revealed.
For the first time, the rail operator has given details of train punctuality based on the number of services that arrive early or within 59 seconds of schedule.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2171392/Network-Rail-Real-punctuality-figures-just-seven-trains-Britain-run-time.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

-----------------

Network Rail are operating a new system. So over crowding is causing the problems? Daily signalling problems, Over running engineering works, Broken down trains, Snow, etc etc are making things difficult. They will get fined for not running trains on time. It costs a lot to bid and run the routes.

"They will get fined" ?

Mark, the railway companies have been subject to fines for late running since privatisation in 1994!
