Russell Brand will have to appear in court after he threw a Photographer phone through a window. He could be fined or jailed. It's highly unlikely he will be jailed.

Lock him up so he won't be able to attend the closing Olympic ceremony. |

Mark firstly, what is a "photographer phone", and secondly - how do you know for sure that it is "highly unlikely he will be jailed"?????

What does the Olympics have to do with anything?
Anyway, I like Brand. I think he's a superb performer onstage and he's a very intelligent, perceptive bloke who knows how to wind up stupid people! |

He's a complete berk. Obviously you have a bad sense of humour. |

Nonsense. Perhaps I just have a different sense of humour than you, Mark.
Have you ever spent any time listening to him in an interview of - perchance - watched him onstage? He's an an amazingly perceptive and erudite person who knows exactly how to wind people up - and he obviously does that with considerable success with you!!!
I'm surprised that you rate Brand as "a berk" given how much you seem to love Chris Evans. Now there's a berk if ever there was one... |

Why do you defend Russell Brand when he tarnished Radio 2 and upset a well known actors daughter? Although I do credit Brand for highlighting problems with editing pre-recorded shows at the BBC. I don't like some of what Chris Evans does and his actions, but he attracts the listeners and thats the way he is... |

He doesn't need anyone "defend" him - least of all me. With that episode, both he and Jonathan Ross made a silly mistake and they subsequently apologised. If I were the channel controller I would have sacked him as indeed happened at the time. It doesn't change my view of his abilities as a performer on stage and on film/TV.

He does indeed, for reasons I can't fathom. |
