Prince Phillip ( Duke Of Edinburgh ) has been taken to hospital in Aberdeen for a precautionary measure. It's apparently a recurrence of a bladder infection which he had back in June.

Without wishing to sound too disrespectful I can't see the old boy lasting much longer, I hope I'm wrong.

I agree - 91 is a very good age and you expect some things to go wrong at that stage - nobody has yet achieved immortality in this world so I think the writing may be on the wall Sad

Philip is one of the few royals I like, he has character.
I wish him well as I think he'll be missed once he does shuffle off.

I don't think you're being disrespectful,Toggy, and as he is 91 I think you've put into words what most of us are thinking ...he's a tough old bird though. Smile

I hope he comes out all smiles, but he needs to take a step back and we may not see him in the public eye for sometime if nothing does happen.

He did!

There was an engrossing documentary (The Queen's Mother in Law) on Channel 4 last night about Prince Phillip's mother .........what a life she had! .. a fascinating watch.

It's repeated on 4seven tonight at 9 for those who are interested or who have that channel..I have only just realised I do!
