Fiona Phillips isn't stupid nor thick. Probably thinking at the same time as talking which make her sound stupid. |

Ryan is sitting in for Chris this coming week. Chris has over worked himself for the 12 days. |

I thought it was for 2 weeks, what a shame.

Mark, it's the listeners who need a holiday from Evans, not the other way around.
I genuinely look forward to Tubridy. |

I've enjoyed his previous sitting in stints.

Evans has been great these last few weeks (apart from the Cameron thing, which I didn't hear) |

Chris was jolly good over the Olympics.
This Ryan chap is ok- I nearly choked on my toast this morning, he was talking about heights - someone texted in, saying coming down is worse than going up, Ryan said, tell me about it, I went skiing once. |

He does talk quickly, he's Irish, and sounds just like Dara O'Brien. |

Yes, he does talk fast and he does indeed sound like that Dara bloke. Still, it's a welcome alternative to the usual cackle. |

In my view it's equally bad as the usual cackle _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

From where I'm sitting there's nothing so bad as the usual cackle between 7.30am and 9.30am weekdays. Not by a long measure! |

Ryan does talk fairly quickly - I have no trouble understanding him, but I still can't warm to him. Perhaps, with Terry and Graham (and Dara) it's a case of one Irishman too many.
Dara O'Briain speaks very fast, and freely admits that most people catch only half of what he says. His stage act is remarkable for the fact that he fills two hours or more with chatter, getting the audience to feed him most of his material. When I saw him about the only thing which didn't come from them was his tirade against razor blades and those hands-free soap dispensers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPre1TtvTqk&feature=related
Filling two hours with chatter? When will he get his show on Radio 2? _________________ Ron |

Good to know that my confusion arises from the fact that I avoid the station altogether until mid-morning at the earliest thanks to the goons that are on air normally. |

They were indeed. However, the goons I referred to above weren't afforded the privilege of a capital "g"! |

I quite like Mr Tubridy..nice style, good SOH...and I also enjoyed Chris Evans' Olympic stuff (that'll be me and Ian then..). Anything but Nicky Campbell.
But...when Ryan speaks, all I can see in my mind's eye, is Father Dougal. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Well, seeing as most of them were his but they weren't giving him credit, he should have popped in to stop the feature. |
