A carer who abused a women is a care home was jailed for 4 months and maybe out with in 2 months.

Then a man who put a firework up a kids backside after he knocked on his door and ran away was jailed for 14 months.

Both are as bad, but the abuser got a lesser sentence. Just doesn't add up.

Point taken Mark and I tend to agree

I'm reminded of the guy - I've forgotten his name - who got around six years for defrauding an insurance company by faking his own death when most offenders only get around three years for the offence of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving

It suggests to me that most judges value money more than human lives Sad

As my long-suffering other half can attest, I grumble weekly when the local paper's court reports reflect how much more seriously motoring offences have been dealt with than cases of assault or theft.
