We were in the pub and there was a TV screen showing BBC News Channel without any sound. I read the "Breaking News" strap and I thought "I bet when I get home Mark will have rushed to post the news". I was right!!! Smile

You seem to have an obsession with Mark ,Colin, the way you think about what he's posting (even in the pub!!Shocked ) and chase him round the forum commentating on his threads ..... (bit like a stalker) Very Happy

RIP Mr Nutkin

He was said to be "a natural children's presenter" ...he must have had plenty of practice at home with his own 8 children.

Sad to hear of Terry Nutkins.
The more observant viewers of Animal Magic et al may have noticed that he had a finger missing.......

Many years ago, whilst reading the biography of Gavin Maxwell (of 'Ring of Bright Water' fame) I came across a mention of a young wild-life obsessed lad called Terry Nutkins who went to stay with Maxwell for a while to help him with his otters. Maxwell was, at that time, living in a remote beach-side house at Sandaig on the West coast of Scotland. One of the otters (notoriously temperamental creatures) removed the lad's finger one day in a fit of pique. The story stuck in my mind due to the unlikeliness of the name - I always thought there could be few more appropriate names for a childrens TV presenter on animal programmes than Terry Nutkins.
