This two-parter, presented by Michael Parkinson, will be on R2 from 10 to 11pm on Weds 22 and 29 Feb. A must for me!

Thanks for comments. Taking this in tandem with the current BBC Concert Orchestra series, is it possible that R2 is beginning to understand that its listeners want this genre to be represented in its programming?

I'll be listening ...thanks,Ian

I can't help thinking, though, that Alan Titchmarsh would have been ideal to present this...I wonder if they're (the BBC and Alan)any further on with the programmes about operettas that were mentioned he would do in the future for the BBC?

I thought the trail sounded a bit familiar when I heard it the other day. If I remember the iPlayer chopped off the end so I hope they've sorted it out this time round!

The second part was every bit equal to the first.
