It says Radio 2, but presenters have the access to the facebook page. Wink

The website must have got it all wrong the other week. Richard is covering Chris the rest of Jubilee week. Best Of British.

I assume it's because whatever listing you're referring to didn't know Chris would be on paternity leave.

Helen, I would say that it doesn't really matter either way. I'm just grateful we have an alternative to Evans at breakfast!

Me too but you raised the question with Mark.

It wasn't RT as they still listed Evans at the time of printing.

Not really. As you probably sussed, I was poking a bit of gentle fun at Mark's typically nonsensical comment. Smile

I've actually re-selected Radio 2 for my breakfast-time listening for this week only. I assume that next week we're back to the usual childish snap, crackle and pap!

Well Angela - as a dedicated anti hunt person I used to regularly stay at a hotel in a prime fox hunting area

I used to wind up the proprietor something rotten by turning up for breakfast and asking for fox sausages which of course he never had

One morning he took me by surprise by saying whilst he did not have any fox sausages he did have some very nice squirrel sauce and he duly produced a plastic bottle which looked remarkably like tomato ketchup telling me that it was red squirrel sauce despite the fact there were no red squirrels in the area

I told him that I'd much prefer some brown sauce with my sausages and he told me that was fine but just don't ask where the stuff came from Laughing

Eh? For the record, I hate muesli. It's what I imagine the scrapings of a budgie's cage to be like.

I bet he does!

Gorgeous Dusty track reminiscent of his late night shows and the Sunday mornings on Radio Oxford.

Loved the Dusty track too Helen, why can't we have a few more songs like that during the day?
Enjoyed yesterday and todays shows from Richard, used to think he was rubbish at interviewing people but he has improved greatly over the years.

If only gaz!

Richard is a huge Dusty fan but he always manages to play something we don't hear very often, usually from an album.

Yes I have to say that having Richard on the radio for the last two afternoons has been like a breath of fresh air - I much prefer him to Steve Wright who seems rather stuck in a rut - much better also than the supposed 'comedians' we had covering a couple of weeks ago - what a waste of time they were Rolling Eyes

Steve Wright is certainly stuck in an 80s time warp but I prefer him to the indescribably dull and tedious Richard Allison who was certainly at the back of the queue when personality was handed out.

I agree Ruddles, those so called comedians and C-list 'celebs' a couple of weeks ago were a waste of time. The appalling pub landlord is bad enough without playing non stop Queen records as he did.

Whilst it is fantastic to hear Richard back on daytime radio every now again, I find it slightly disappointing that he seems to be used "just" for sick cover these days, instead of a regular cover work eg if a regular presenter is away for a week's holiday then why is Richard not brought in to cover for the whole week.

Maybe because he's busy with other comittments and does have a regular show at the weekend. They might not be able to cover his weekend shows, if he's doing 5 days a week.

Completely agree.

The world seems a better place when Richard is broadcasting to the nation-hopefully he is in play for the rest of the week.
