I remember him being in the very first pantomime I was taken to at the age of five. It was Jack and the Beanstalk at the long-gone Chiswick Empire and he was very acrobatic in a supporting role with floppy blonde hair.
Early childhood impressions made an impact in those pre-TV days!

Well - I suppose he had a long innings and he'd be the first to say 'Don't Panic'
Nevertheless he will be sadly missed - a great comedy actor who brought a lot of fun and enjoyment to a great many people _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
