I don't understand Italian - however, the subtitles while the chap was being interviewed suggested they were terracotta.
Anyway, at least they are handmade, in an area of Europe where such things have been made for decades, if not centuries, and not mass-produced in gaudy plastic at the touch of a button in the Far East.

actually that's pretty good work for terracotta, beyond plant-pots and roof-tiles it's tricky stuff! There'll be plastic versions next week though...  |
