Just finished watching the three new episodes...
Fantastic.
Some of the best written and produced TV you will ever see.

I totally agree. Michael Kitchen can express more with a lifted eyebrow than most actors can with their whole face and body. An excellent series.

Here's another agreeing with you, unclebuck ....watching it last night I was thinking at the same time how well they have captured the era ...sets,clothes and styling etc

Michael Kitchen is a delight to watch and I like his relationship with Sam. I wish the character of Paul Milner had stayed in it ..I really took to him.

Are there to be any more of these or is this the last series does anyone know?

Agree with all of the comments above, Foyle's war is a great drama and Michael Kitchen is superb.
I like Sam's husband, she is so scatty yet he is supportive of her (and she of him too)

Last night's episode was heavy stuff but still very watchable, sorry that the series has ended already.

I don't think they are quite as good as the ones about during the war itself but still enjoying them!

I am seeing Michael Kitchen in a different light since seeing him as John Farrow...Shocked Very Happy ..Brian Pern's manager.... in The Life of Rock with Brian Pern... a far cry from his Foyle character, showing just what a versatile actor he is.

This programme is always on my list to watch each week, when it is on.

Hopefully it will be with us for a while yet, as when it was cancelled a few years ago viewer pressure brought it back.

Sorry, it's been confirmed that this Sunday's episode will be the last ever.

Somehow I have failed to see any of Foyle's War over the years and I'm sure I would have enjoyed them. I wonder if they ever turn up on Freeview or Sky channels??

I think the whole series of series have been excellent and one of the few prgrammes I always watch one way or another. I'm sad that it is ending but I suppose it is good to finish while the standard is still high. I agree that Michael Kitchen is fantastic, an outstanding example of understated acting.

Eileen

I've just noticed that Foyles War is on ITV3 this Saturday Jan 24 at 8pm. In RT it says it's the first episode of the drama so maybe they are repeating the whole series. I'm not sure if I saw that one so I'm going to set it anyway.
