How do you know, I thought you listen to Richard Allinson?

Correct Mark.

Normally I listen to Richard live on the internet but for the past few weeks I have had to listen to Richard via the Listen Again feature because of other commitments.

Indeed we have had to visit family on Sunday mornings which has involved us in a long distant drive-we have tuned into Steve Wright and all I can say nothings changed in a long time-the format is outdated, overplayed and quite honestly makes me want to throw up.

Steve Wright is definetly Steve Wrong.

I live a very lonely life, Sad billie no mates, Crying or Very sad all alone in this great big house.. only the and for company... I was distraught.

But, I discovered "The Big Show" with all it's fun people, cracking jokes, stories of the day, health tips, golden truncated oldies, factoids and of course Golden Boy himself! up to date, style icon, comedian, singer, impressionist, a fine figure of a man.
Suddenly, my life was and
I felt cool again.. even the and the were impressed.
So let's hear it for Steve Wright!

Love the Show!

Nurse..... I want to go home now...

Mark, you can re-tune your car radio or even put on a tape / CD (if your player is modern enough) It is not compulsory to suffer Steve Wright etc.

I think the appalling Chris Evans is undoubtedly the worst..... by a long mile. Just awful.

Mark (Mayhew) have you considered an mp3 player - it's cheaper than a divorce . I can listen to prog rock while Mrs G watches her soaps.

The same mp3 player gets used from 5pm, except on the odd occasions where I relent and give Mr Evans 5 mins to prove that he has improved. Like the Scots winning the World Cup, it'll never happen.

Going back to the original subject, I think the worst Radio 2 programmes are actually the comedy shows at the moment. Thank god that Parsons and Nailer have returned. I was expecting a lot of the Teenage Kids thing, but it just isn't funny. Lee Mack was awful, as was Jeff Green's show.

At the moment the only genuinely funny shows are "it's been a bad week", parsons and nailer, arthur smith's clips shows and Jammin'. This sadly leaves half a year of unfunny shows.

Good to know that people read the thread and keep on topic.

John - can we split this thread and put the people moaning about Steve Wright in the gripes section?

Ok Santafefan - any chance of keeping ON TOPIC?

The thread is about your perceived worst show on Radio 2.

Not a Steve Wright debating thread.

I would have said Chris evans, but it is unfair of me to complain about that which I don't listen to.

I'm going to give up even attempting to listen to CE for Lent. Smile

This really should be in the gripes section. There is very little that is truely awful on Radio 2, just a lot of mediocrity in between the gems. There are also shows that I dont listen to because its not my type of show that are still great shows because they cater well for their audience.
