I watched this, purely by accident, on Sunday night. The RT had given it two stars. Since watching the film, which I really enjoyed in places, I've seeen a four star review by Roger Ebert, a well respected film critic and buff, who sadly passed away a short while ago.
Starring James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Steve Buscemi, Kate Winslet and Christopher Walken, amongst others, this was a musical like no other.
You can still catch it on iplayer, and I'd highly recommend giving it a shot.
After all....what's not to like, when this comes on after five minutes or so ?

How can a film that is bonkers and full of weirdos end up tugging at your heartstrings?...beats me but this film does just that.
Very funny in parts,too.
I had missed this completely in the listings,Raver, so many thanks for flagging it up.
It was a sort of an American "Pennies From Heaven"
Man Without Love by 'Tony' has gone straight into my favourites ...wonderful!! |
