Oh good. So it's like the last three weeks didn't happen. yay! The funerals were quite jolly affairs really, my mum was the only one sad/tearful , the rest had a big party. I was quite shocked. I also looked out of place in my black coat, black hat, black gloves, black dress, black shoes, just like you should be at a funeral, or so I thought. Some of them were dressed for the nightclub, which may , I suppose, have been a moment of genious planning because that's exactly where we all ended up. Don't dress for the first hour, dress for the other twenty three seemed to be the thing to do. Maybe it's a North Eastern thing?! Any excuse for a sesh. ( short for session which is going out for lots of beer). I've been in more pubs/nightclubs in the last 3 weeks than in the previous 30 years.
I hope my funeral is a little more sombre.
I did get a moment of joy while listening to Jezza Vine, I think it was last week: I don't recall the subject but Jezza asked a caller to multiply 6 X 7 ...he instantly answered 42! Jezza thought this was brilliant. Really?! If that is the measure of brilliance these days, I'm on the wrong planet. ...Click ... whir....after this last three weeks, maybe I am.
Of course 6 X 7 is the ultimate question... of life the universe and everything, so now we know the answer.... Thanks Jezza! Perhaps it was brilliant after all. |
