I was saddened to hear of Bernie's very premature death today as a result of the ravages of serious cancer problems

Whilst I was never a great Nolans fan I think you have to admit they were very professional at what they did and I actually met Bernie about ten years ago when she first began her regular appearances on 'Loose Women' - she seemed a really nice person who did a great deal to help people less fortunate than herself

It's an old and very cliched saying that the good die young but probably nevertheless still very true - certainly in this case Sad

Wasn't it Colleen on Loose Women?

But, yes, sad news. Nice lady.

Yes actually thinking about it Ian - you might be right Embarassed

Of course they all tend to look very similar but it doesn't alter my view about the whole Nolan clan - they didn't produce my kind of music but I think they're all lovely human beings and I know Bernie did a great deal towards the end of her life to promote help for people who are unfortunate enough to be suffering from terminal cancer

Sad news indeed.

I liked her in the Bill, a series I miss. ( Embarassed)

Very sad news this especially after she was given the all clear after having treatment ( chemotherapy and a mastectomy) for breast cancer only to find months later the disease had returned and spread to her brain, bones, lungs and liver. Sad

This was a nice performance she gave on Popstar to Operastar a couple of years ago.

She was good in that, wasn't she, Becky. A lovely brave woman, and the world will be a poorer place for her leaving it.
