.......to not only beat the Aussies (at anything) but to beat them resoundingly in their own back yard.

A FABULOUS win for The Lions....Series Winners!!!

I am exhausted from jumping up and down and cheering Very Happy

Great scenes of jubilation down under

I knew you were right all along Mr Gatland Wink

Final score 16 - 41 Very Happy

What a win that was. We knew that Gatland's team selection was brave - but would it prove to be foolhardy? He made the right decision, but I would have liked to have seen BOD on the bench.

That said, it's been stressed all along, that it's about the entire squad, so it will be the entire squad that gets well and truly wrecked in Sydney. Well deserved, too. The extra muscle did the trick. When you think what Wales did to England this year, then you wonder why we didn't play this sort of game in the other two tests, instead of relying on Leigh Halfpenny's kicks.

Brian O'Driscoll said, after the match, that he was a Series Winner despite not taking part in this particular game and that it would be on his CV but his disappointment at not playing was plain to see,I thought.

As a Rugby League fan I don't generally take much interest in the 15 aside game but any sporting team which beats the Aussies on their own turf deserves real congratulations

Apparently it's getting close to midnight in Sydney and the Brits are still partying Very Happy

I had to chuckle at the comment made by one of the Radio 5 Live commentators, that he wasted the money on a hotel room when he obviously wasn't going to need it tonight.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game on Saturday morning, a terrific result for The Lions.
Looking back at the first match two weeks ago, if the Aussie penalty kicker hadn't slipped on the turf in the last minute, the Wallabies would have won that game. They won the second game (just) and so it could have been all over before the third game.
