Engine malfunction or engine management system malfunction?
All the sophistciated electronics in cars these days can be a curse.
And not funny at 2.55 in the morning.
Did you have to phone for what they used to be able to call "a very nice man"? _________________ Ron |

It said engine malfunction, Ron, but nothing seemed to be wrong with it, so I sat there for a few minutes and then drove home anyway. It was hubby's car, not mine. It took me long enough to work out how to turn the lights on, so I wasn't going to be lifting the bonnet anytime. After a while the warning lights went out but it kept coming back on again with the annoying du doo du doo sound every time I slowed down, so, I stopped slowing down. It turns out that it did the same thing for about a week when it was new, hubby took it back to the dealer but they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Some intrrnet research suggests that poor quality diesel can cause the erroneous error to be generated. It was quite scary cos the A30 is a scary old place on your own. Got home safely though, and vicariously anyway, Alex was there all the way.
And, I think, if I were a punctuation mark, I'd be an ellipse... |

Could it be because it wasn't the "far superior" 80's version of "It's Late" that was being played??? |
