The Daily Mail has a sort of 'day in the life of Radio 2' article today. The printed version has the names the right way around. A nice revealing dress Jo is wearing.

'Twas in the MoS Event Magazine yesterday. An interesting read whilst listening to the Cricket on 5 live xtra TMS. They even mentioned Alex, no, not on 5 live xtra, in the magazine.
No one on here will have read it, Mark. Very Happy

True, and the way it's going the days of the Telegraph are numbered here as well.

I've read it now Wink

It's similar to the piece the Grauniad ran last year.
What is underlined, apart from the collective length of experience and time with the BBC, is the meticulous preparation by most of the presenters, Ken Bruce excepted, and he is the one they are in awe of. (I don't think Alex does much either - Chris Evans calls him a god)

It's The Times for me but mainly for the crossword, m-i-l has the mail but on Sunday we just get the MoS: we don't usually bother with a Saturday Times because it takes three months to read one and much longer than that to understand it all.

I liked that article, but hate going to the Daily Mail website as it's full of obscure naked girls!

Just read it too. We get the Sunday Times but the Mail during the week. Not much in it that I read these days though..............

When we were on holiday recently, we read USA Today the only US national daily newspaper. It's VERY thin and I actually thought maybe that's the way to go.

If you just want the news, Helen, without all the celeb nonesense , the I is fab: 20p for all you need to know about what's important in the world today. No nonesene , no frills, no nakedness, no nipple count, just news. I don't get it everyday though, just now and again, especially if I'm going on a train.

I see that Steve Wright did not get a picture. Was 'The day in the life of R2' one when he was on holiday or perhaps he had recorded the whole programme before hand and so was not around

I agree Rachel I think the "I" newspaper is excellent value and tells me all I feel I need to know without all the celebrity nonsense. I do, however, get the dreaded Daily Mail on Saturdays mainly for the TV guide.

Have you seen recent pictures of him. I don't think even he would want one taken. Laughing

Quite an interesting article, I thought.

She who must be obeyed has the MoS. I myself prefer Andrex! Wink
