You will never be a dull, frumpy, boring prude, Rachel.
Perhaps you are just what a flower-print dress needs for its image Laughing

That is very funny, Rudds.

Ron, maybe if the sun shines over the weekend. Watch this space. Smile

Actually although I'm not an expert on the image a modern Vicar's wife should portray I do have a bit of a problem in this particular area

You see my former wife made the mistake of circulating certain pictures of me dressed in full religious gear - yes both the cassock and surplus - it originated from a very dubious 'Vicars and Tarts' party a few years ago and now everyone constantly tells me that I missed my natural vocation and they might be right

My main problem however is that every time I visit friends of mine in South Wales who run a hotel I run into this slightly odd and usually very drunk guy who for some reason is convinced that I am the Bishop of Bangor Shocked

I reckon the locals have been winding him up but last time I was there a couple of months ago this unfortunate man actually asked me if I could visit his sick wife with a view to doing some kind of blessing and I really started to panic as to how on earth I could respond - clearly I couldn't put myself in the position of impersonating a man of the cloth

After some very quick thinking I told the man that being an official of the Church was rather like being an insurance salesman - you can only do business on your own patch not on someone else's so probably better for him to speak to the Bishop of Monmouth Wink

That's very funny too, Rudds.

Luckily I don't have to look like a vicar's wife and I don't have to make cuecumber sandwiches for visitors either because hubby does only a little vicaring these days. He was a Chaplian in the armed services but since leaving that he's done only stand in work here and there. He does mainly other things now.
