We treked halfway across the country to go and see White Christmas at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton last Saturday, and it was really fabulous - completely loved it!
The actors, the costumes, sets and music were fabulous, but special mention has to go to Lorna Luft who completely made the show IMO, and stayed behind to chat after everyone else had dashed off to get some food between shows.
If you are in the area (or even if you're not) I would recommend you take the family to see it - it beats the pants off a pantomime this year.
Who'd have thought Henry from Neighbours could sing and dance so well! _________________ ~*Rachel*~

Well I had the pleasure of going to see a most enjoyable show at the newly refurbished Grand Theatre in Leeds a couple of days after Christmas. "Spirit Of Christmas" is a song and dance specatcular which tours in different versions, and at the time I believe there were about 8 or 9 versions of the show touring in different parts of the world.
Our host for the evening was the marvellous Merrill Osmond who took the chance to mix in a few of his famiy's hits with the Christmas standards, and the guests were comedian Johnnie Casson ( very funny) and the incomparably superb Peter Grant (the reason I bought the tickets in the first place and the person who stole the show completely I reckon!)
Great night out, warmly recommended if it comes round again next year
