Did anyone watch this?
I thought it was a lovely programme. There was such rapport between the two of them and some of the flashbacks to earlier TV appearances were enchanting. It was great to see Bruce dancing with Norman Wisdom, with Sammy Davis Junior, introducing Nat King Cole etc., The Generation Game with the lady as the French maid with specs was just hilarious and Bruce was so good at thinking on his feet and playing up the comedy in situations like that.
All in all hugely enjoyable - and well done Miranda! |

Yes, I watched I too and enjoyed it... I've always been a Brucie fan even going back to the Palladium days when "Beat the Clock" was not to be missed.
I was hoping they might show The Beatles first Palladium appearance but perhaps it wasn't Bruce hosting then.
I like Miranda too but at times felt uncomfortable at her reactions and questions to Bruce.. like the horderves bit at the beginning.. what was that all about? I'm sure Bruce was equally lost.
But yes, great to see all the clips, particularly from the Generation Game.. boy do we need programmes like that now! I wondered if Bruce was going to say he would do another series! you could see how at home he felt doing the show.
A great tribute to a great entertainer in my view. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
