He is certainly one of Radio 2's best. I really miss the days when he was 'my alarm clock'. If there is one thing I envy about those on a night shift, it is that they get the best of Radio 2, what with Janice long & Alex Lester. Provided they listen to them of course!

It's a real shame we never hear Alex covering daytime shows any more and actually thinking about it Janice would also be good on daytime radio covering the Drivetime slot

Neither obviously qualify as they know far too much about the music they play Rolling Eyes

I wonder, when was the last time we heard Alex Lester, Janice Long or Stuart Maconie covering any show on Radio 2, Does anyone remember? I know it's been many years since I heard Janice doing any other show than her permanent slot.

Yes Santa, I recommend you have a 'listen again'. He's certainly been playing some very different Christmas tracks over this run-up period.

Yes.. I'll set up my recording radio for a few shows... anything is better than mumbling O'Leary or Wogan on a Sunday for that matter!

I only hear a little of Janice Long but always enjoy what I hear. Makes me think back to the days when we had Richard Allinson late night followed by Janice. 2 good radio shows.
