Sad news - a good actor - it's a shame he never got a bigger break in his career but I've always enjoyed his TV appearances

He had a part in one or more of the Harry Potter movies.

Edit: the Goblet of Fire

Don't forget the Vicar of Dibley as well, he was hilarious in that.

A very good actor and a nice man too it seems, such a sad loss.

May he RIP.

I saw him a few years ago in Art. He was superb. He was also in the film version of Tinker Tailor but he'll always be known as Trigger

There's a tribute to him tonight on BBC1 at 22-25

"And if it's a boy they're naming him Rodney, after Dave. ..."

My paper said that the best tribute would be to rename the TV channel Dave Rodney

Yes, typically, they managed to pick an episode of Only Fools that had just the one Trigger scene in it

It was a nice tribute from Dawn French

There was an old black and white picture of him with his mother and father and the likeness between his mother and his daughter, Emily (Wish You Were Here) Lloyd, was striking.

They showed it because it was the first ep to feature Trigger.
