I've started this thread for two reasons :-

1. Cos I'm nosey, and I would like to know what you all do.

2. To dispel the rumour that I work for the BBC!

I'll start off by posting two pictures; the first one being what I do at work, the second one , what I do, when I'm not at work. You don't have to post pictures but they do paint a thousand words:--

So this is what I do at work:-

[/img] http://blueangelrachel-online.wikispaces.com/space/showimage/Managment_Training.jpg [img]

and on my days off:-

[/img] http://blueangelrachel-online.wikispaces.com/space/showimage/hard+at+work [img]

Do you have two pictures or two thousand words, to sum up :- what you do in and out of work?

Hi John,

no the photos are the right way around.. the first one was a Management Training Day - out of the office; apparently;- abseiling blindfolded, helps to hone your management skills.. Rolling Eyes

the second picture was taken when I was on honeymoon in Cornwall earlier this year.. visiting the Geevor Tin Mine...........

I didn't say it was going to be easy Wink If I posted a picture of my office .. the huge corporate logo behind me would kind of, give it away...

Rachel,

Can't help but notice that sign next to you in the second picture. It says victory shaft, does that mean you were first prize in a raffle?

My turn, then - hope everyone's monitors don't crack....! Smile

Can't show you pictures of me at work - if I did, I'd have to kill you.... OSA and all that. Rolling Eyes

At play is a different matter, tho': first, harking back to 1992 so excuse the dress sense. This was me at an old polar ice-station supply base in North-Eastern Siberia during July 1992 (which is why there is no snow!):

We were trying to arrange a flight in it - it was used for iceberg spotting in the Arctic Ocean about fifty miles away. (Brownie points for anyone who can name the type of aircraft I'm standing infront of - Lord Evan Elpuss?)

A little more up-to-date - a few years ago on a hillside in central Scotland, waiting for low-level jets to photograph (if anyone can name the mountain behind me and to the left I'll be very impressed), carrying 'the small lens'. This is where I caught the top-side shot of the Tornado GR.4 I posted on one of threads in the 'Views' section. I also look rather haggard since I was wild-camping in the glen..... I like my creature comforts nowadays so find a B&B! Smile

Will never win any competitions for my looks but who cares? Smile

Yep. I'm improving with age eh?

In the work photo that's the computer I'm on right now, I'm self-employed now. When that photo was taken I recall I was looking at a government website about the Buncefield incident as we have some interest in what caused it.

The play photo, behind me is part of my vinyl collection, the 'classical section'. Those sleeves with the yellow bit are Deutsche Grammophon, under that is the HMV. I'm holding a boxed set of the Magic Flute, features Elisabeth Schwartzkof around 1964 I think.

Not as exciting as Rachel of Cherskiy Confused

Gosh! Captain P! Embarassed

I've not been raffled in the past but I was sold for a few rounds of beer by my co-workers when we did a job overseas many years ago... it got quite heated after all the beer had been drank and my "new owners" realised that I wasn't going to be peeling any potatoes for them.
